Lip Balm Review: Summer Makeup Essentials

This Friday’s lip balm review has become an obsession of mine and is most definitely a summer makeup essential. Why? The sun easily dries out lips and this week’s favorite beauty product provides hours of hydration and nutrition with a pop of vibrant color.

TGIF hotties and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s weekly beauty review. I am obsessed with mascara and lips, my two favorite cosmetics and collect them like shoes. I feel naked without lip color or even just a plain balm to moisturize my pucker. This summer my latest obsession is tinted lip balm, as it provides the hydration I need with the color I desire, and it should be part of every woman’s summer beauty regimen.

Lip Balm Review: L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Pop Balm

This Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week is another from L’Oreal Paris, its Colour Riche Balm Pop, which the brand boasts provides “vibrant color for a bold, daring pout with 8 hours of hydration.” Jojoba and Shea Butter are infused in the lip balm to nourish and moisturize. This week’s selection is available in four shades, Wild Lily, Electric Pink, Fiery Red and Bold Blush, although the website claims six shades, but only four are listed. One negative lip balm review stated there wasn’t a good enough variety and the product caused her lips to chap. This hasn’t been my experience, however I do agree more colors should be made available, as it is a must-have beauty essential, especially for summer makeup.
