Mascara! I love mascara. Mascara and lip color are my must-have beauty essentials, my summer beauty regimen and these two items take off years, especially for those who don’t like to wear makeup. But what’s my favorite mascara? Read on to learn which beauty product has received this week’s accolades.
TGIF and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s favorite beauty product of the week. As I stated last Friday, I am obsessed with mascara and lip balm; they both are part of my summer beauty regimen. Now while this Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week won’t produce amazing 3D eyelashes, it does a great job at lengthening without the fibers and lasts all day.
This Friday’s favorite is mascara from L’Oreal Paris, the new Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara, which features the “360 flexor brush to build bold volume with high intensity from top to bottom. “ The beauty brand promises this mascara will produce “15X lash volume in a flash.” While I didn’t measure the volume, I can say the flexible brush allows for even and easy application, and a few coats produces a nice look.
According to L’Oréal Paris, this is “the first time the makeup giant has created a flexible brush with a unique conical shape to catch those hard to reach lashes with an incredibly even application. The Mega Impact Formula instantly builds oversized volume for 15X lash volume in a flash. Top lashes are amplified and bottom lashes maximized for the ultimate wide-eyed Manga Look.” Sounds better than it is, but for the price it is well worth the purchase for great lashes.

Why is mascara a must-wear makeup? Mascara and lip color take years off. As we age, we lose lashes or they gray, and lips dull, dry, ashen and shrink as we grow older. Yeh, this shit sucks. Even if you are like me and hate to wear makeup for errands, you shouldn’t leave the house without mascara and at least a colored lip balm, unless you are wearing sunglasses and don’t plan on removing them, then just the lips need a pop of color.
There is no need to spend a ton on mascara, which is why I love this Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week. Tune in next week to see which item I rave or rant about. Until then, happy styling!
