Men’s Hairstyle Don’ts: Hair Police at the 2014 AMAs

There were 2 men’s hairstyle don’ts the Hair Police noticed at the 2014 AMAs. There were surely more, however what bothered Ask the Pro Stylist was the amount of money these men have at their disposal to look better.

Why is it the richest of men have the worst hair? Other than his money, TV show and real estate, Donald Trump is best known for his awful hair. But he isn’t the only wealthy man suffering from men’s hairstyle don’ts. As I was writing about the AMAs 2014 Party Holiday Hairstyles, I couldn’t help but itch over the appearances of Shark Tank’s businessmen Mark Cuban, 56, and Robert Herjavec, 51, at the 2014 American Music Awards.

If you didn’t notice Mark Cuban’s men’s hairstyle don’ts, the entrepreneur had a piece of hair protruding from the top, which could have been prevented with a comb, gel and some hairspray. He’s not a bad looking guy, he just needs to update his look, perhaps with a tousled men’s hairstyle, to blend unruly hair.

Robert Herjavec is younger than Mark Cuban, however his men’s hairstyle don’ts, (fullness in the wrong spot and a news anchor part) age the businessman. Herjavec would benefit from a shorter cut with tapered sides, so he doesn’t look like Neil Sedaka circa 1970.

What these men need is a stylist that is honest to prevent additional men’s hairstyle don’ts and further harassment from the Hair Police. Visit me tomorrow for How-to Tuesday’s perfect holiday hairstyle. Until then, happy styling!
