I am obsessed with Redken’s new line simply because I have never found a hair care system that controls my frizz in humid weather without a salon treatment. Full of beauty to smooth coarse hair, this week’s selection from Frizz Dismiss is a must for unruly hair.

TGIF beautiful, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s Friday Favorite. This week’s selection is a product in a fairly new line of hair care that dismisses frizz and will smooth coarse hair in the highest of humidity, and I am obsessed.

I have touted the shampoo, conditioner, and sheets in Redken’s Frizz Dismiss line, which tames frizz thanks to an FPF system to determine your level of control. The Frizz Protection Factor (FPF) is the first ever, professional scale, which allows you to choose the protection you need based on hair type and humidity level.

This week I have fallen in love with Frizz Dismiss 40 Rebel Tame Leave-In Smoothing Control Cream, perfect to smooth coarse hair in the humid Long Island summer. It has the highest FPF within the line to totally combat frizz in medium to high humidity.

According to Redken the leave-in smoothing control cream “provides intense discipline to knock down frizz with lasting control, provides lasting frizz control smoothness and humidity protection, and protects from heat styling up to 446º.”

It’s always best to use all facets of a line for optimal results. Not only did Rebel Tame smooth coarse hair, and control frizz, but also added intense shine to my double processed hair. I cannot recommend it enough.
