Kicks for the Hairstylist is this Friday’s Favorite Beauty Product

Kicks for the hairstylist is this Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week, yes favorite beauty product because anything that keeps my feet comfy is beautiful. What are kicks? If you don’t know you should move on to another beauty blog! Just kidding, please read on to learn why I love my new sneakers.

TGIF beauties! Every Friday Ask the Pro Stylist touts the value of my favorite beauty product of the week. A pair of kicks came across my desk to sample, just after a lengthy discussion occurred about shoes, work and comfort. As a work from home hairstylist, I often do hair in slippers and sandals, not the best on my feet or back. When I first started in a salon as an assistant sneakers were the modus operandi and when I graduated to stylist, I opted for a more fashionable shoe, again not ideal for long hours on the feet.

Ryka, this Friday’s favorite beauty product of the week, is a women’s footwear brand in business for over 25 years. Ryka offers the Intent XT 2 SR sneaker (kicks) for professionals who are always on their feet. Perfect for nurses, hairstylists, servers and more, these stain resistant shoes not only meet the needs of staying in uniform standards, but also provide comfort for the wearer. Ryka understands the shape of a woman’s foot to the angle of her stride and delivers exceptional cushioning and support. The slip resistant-outsole and stain-resistant upper makes this a perfect pair of kicks to meet the challenges of any workday.

From exercising to work theses sneakers have provided comfort for my aching feet. Sometimes ladies we have to choose comfort over fashion, and when we are on our dogs for hours, toss the heels for pair of kicks. In black or white Ryka’s Intent XT 2 SR sneaker match any uniform or outfit and the ergonomic design a lot for a high-performance sneaker.

The “Q-Angle” (quadricep angle), the anatomical relationship between the hip and knee, measures 5-7 degrees greater for women than men. As a result, women tend to shift more weight to the outside of their feet, which leads to over-pronation, instability at foot strike, and higher risk of injury. Ryka’s design philosophy integrates all of their technologies into one of the most researched, women-specific lasts in the industry: A complete footwear solution that fits the shape of a woman’s foot perfectly, with a narrower heel, roomier forefoot, increased instep volume, and more secure foot bed. The result is a high-performance, athletic shoe engineered to address the unique biomechanics of active women for unsurpassed fit, comfort, cushioning and control.

It’s true; I love my kicks and intend to wear them every time my feet land behind the chair. Stop by next Friday to see which hair, nails or beauty product has ignited my fancy.
