Whoop, whoop, Happy HUMP DAY hotness, and welcome to Ask the Pro Stylist’s Q&A for Wednesday! This Hump Day is better than most because the majority of us have Friday off as well thanks to Independence Day. So, before I begin my diatribe about bleach blonde troubles, let me wish you all a beautiful, safe and happy Fourth of July.

For those unaware, Bellashoot is my new favorite social media site. It is for those in love with all things beauty. A Bella reader commented under my post, asking how to change her bleach blonde hair color.

Anyone know if there’s a way to get blond bleach out of your hair due to wanting to change hair color?

Bleach blonde hair color cannot be removed. The term bleach basically means to remove color, leaving behind less pigment to various degrees. To be brief, you cannot get blonde bleach out of the hair. However, you could add color back.

Although I am currently employed in a law office, I am still a licensed hairstylist that works on my devoted clients. Law just pays better. However, as such, I will never, ever advocate at-home products and can only recommend to visit a salon professional to change your hair color.

There are a variety of healthy options to change the color of bleach blonde hair. To begin, a filler would need to be used for the hair color to sustain. But, I will not recommend one, because all chemical services need to be done by a professional for optimal results. Then, the desired shade should be applied, followed by a gloss for added shine. This is the best route to take.

I will never advocate at-home options for fill bleach blonde hair or vice versa. If you have a question similar to todays, please email me at DeirdreAHaggerty@gmail.com. Until then, happy styling!
